Studied from Sir JJ school of art, Mumbai, Sanjay Sawant received awards like Late Shankar Palsikar Award, Gladsman Soloman award and National Award, Lalit kala academy, also received Fellowship from Sir JJ School of Art,

And Junior Fellowship, cultural dept. Govt. of India. Throughout his career he has done numerous shows in both India and abroad.
